bio Eti Grifel was born in Haifa, Israel. She arrived in New York in 2001 and currently lives in Brooklyn. Ms. Grifel studied fashion when she was young, but painting was always her first love and she returned to it full-time seven years ago. In her art, she seeks to create an internal experience for the viewer by constantly exploring relationships between color and space, motion and emotion.  Many of her paintings are created “a la prima” -- in one session.
